Joe Rogan: Hey, what's up, everyone? This is Joe Rogan, and I'm here today with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan. Mr. President, thanks for coming on the show.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: It's my pleasure, Joe. Thank you for having me.
Joe Rogan: So, Mr. President, I know that you were just recently elected as the President of Kazakhstan. Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you got to where you are today?
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: Of course, Joe. I have a long history in Kazakhstan, dating back to the Soviet era. I served in various government positions, including as the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Senate, before being elected as President earlier this year.
Joe Rogan: That's quite a background. And I'm sure our listeners would love to hear more about your plans for the future of Kazakhstan. Can you tell us a little bit about the reforms you're planning?
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: Absolutely. One of our top priorities is to continue modernizing and diversifying our economy, which has traditionally relied on natural resources. We're also focusing on improving the business climate and increasing foreign investment. Additionally, we're working on strengthening our social and health care systems and promoting education and scientific research.
Joe Rogan: That all sounds great, Mr. President. And I'm sure our listeners are curious about what life is like in Kazakhstan. Can you tell us a little bit about the culture and the people of your country?
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: Kazakhstan is a diverse and multicultural country, with over 130 ethnic groups living together in harmony. We have a rich cultural heritage, with a mix of nomadic and sedentary traditions. And of course, we are known for our beautiful nature, with vast steppes, mountains, and lakes. Our people are hardworking and hospitable, and I'm very proud of our country and its people.
Joe Rogan: That's really interesting, Mr. President. I'm sure our listeners would love to learn more about Kazakhstan. Thank you so much for coming on the show and sharing your insights with us.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: Thank you, Joe. It was a pleasure to be here.
