Repo Hunt is an iPhone app to explore trending repositories on GitHub. It’s currently #3, help us to get to #1 by upvoting the app here: https://www.producthunt.com/topics/tech
2 weeks ago I shared the list of my 20 single player mode mobile app ideas with 100+ participants of nFactorial Incubator. One of our students, 18-year old Aidar Nugmanoff, liked one of them and in 10 days singlehandedly built Repo Hunt. It’s basically Hacker News for GitHub repositories.
You can see what’s trending on GitHub today and filter it by time or programming language. The app supports Markdown for READMEs (which you can preview using Force Touch). In the next version, you’ll be able 1) to sign in with GitHub and star repositories to your GitHub account; 2) mark certain programming languages as favorites. Anything else you think we should add?
Looking forward to hear what you think!
P/S: nFactorial Incubator is an intensive 12-week app development bootcamp to produce job-ready mobile app engineers. Our results since 2015: 200+ apps, 300+ alumni. It’s a non-profit organization, all the accepted students study for free. If you happen to be in Astana, come to our Demo Day on Aug 26 to see 100 mobile apps we launched this summer on App Store / Play Market: https://www.facebook.com/events/1714667488839979/
